Aroma

Aroma is a new collection of chairs and tables in solid ash wood and plywood designed by Alessandro Stabile, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of the typical bistro chair with a half armrest.

"The defining feature of this design is the small armrest—a signature detail in many café chairs, particularly in certain Thonet models, widely used across Northern Europe. I have always loved this typology because it takes me back to places and moments where I feel at ease. Drawing from this inspiration, I reworked the compositional elements, focusing on purity of form to create my own interpretation." explains Alessandro Stabile.

Aroma chair’s distinctive semicircle backrest, made of steam-bent solid wood, welcomes the eyes of sitter, while defining the space it has been placed. It also allows you to lift the chair and rest on the table top during the cleaning, a nod to the anonymous café and bistro chairs from the past, where the designer's inspiration were drawn from.

Aroma chair is compact in size and stackable, well catered for the use for homes, bars or restaurants where space is limited. The padded seat with fabric upholstery is offered as a standard, with non padded version as option.

It is accompanied by a collection of tables, also with a solid ash wood structure, which resume the formal dialogue between the circular section upright and the rectangular section beam that can be found in the chair. 

Aroma tables are offered in various formats and colours, from those with a central column for contract use to the larger rectangular version for a larger dining surface for home.
